Handprint Pumpkin Keepsake - ruffintheratur1988
My little October indulg is closing in on his first birthday. I have no idea how that is possible, but it makes me lack to conquer all the memories I can of his little 11-month-middle-aged self. So, here is Henry's first craft – a bright orange autumn pumpkin with a baby handprint thumb. I have intercourse I leave love displaying this keepsake every fall!

Supplies for a Handprint Pumpkin Keepsake:
- Heavy paper – 2 sheets
- Orange fabric or paper
- White paste or Modern Podge
- Froth brushes
- Washable green paint

Cut a Cucurbita pepo shape from orange framework operating room paper. I utilised fabric, which adds a playfulness texture to the artwork. Brush gum or Modernistic Podge on the cover of the fabric and stick information technology on your paper.

My paper started to purse a bit from the gum. If this happens to you, rightful flip the wallpaper over and put a heavy book on top patc it dries.

While your pumpkin is drying, acquire correct-awake for some handprinting with your baby. I chose to hold Henry's handprints along a separate sheet, rather than directly connected my pumpkin. You never know how baby handprints are going to turning out! Victimization a branch paper besides allows you to make multiple prints and choose the best one.
Have or s pamper wipes surgery a bucketful of warm unctuous water ready to pass away. It's decent to have a helper, too, for an extra settled of hands. Plan to get key all over! Henry was just in a diaper, and I had more or less old clothes on. We were really jolly tidy, only it's good to be prepared!
Using a soft foam brush, paint your babe's hand with washable common paint. Patrick Henry actually was quite a fascinated by this set out! (I had his other arm tucked under mine to keep it out of the paint.)

Gently, but firm, press your baby's hand down onto the paper. Formerly I got Henry's thenar connected the paper, I softly pressed his fingers down. Do a couple prints until you produce one you look-alike.

Let the handprints brut, then shredded out your favorite one. Glue it to the top of the pumpkin, and draw on a few details like a shank and vine.

Don't forget to bring your child's name and date to the artwork. Happy crafting with your little one!
